Synthetic Turf Lawns
Pricing: Synthetic grass lawn pricing is calculated by square footage, and many other factors such as accessibility, artificial turf selection, and size and scope of project. Recent improvements in synthetic turf have yielded a supremely soft and natural texture, both visually and to the touch. A general ballpark estimate is between 7 to 16 per square foot. This includes base construction and all aspects of installation.
General: We carry hundreds of types of turfs for our installations (we do not sell turf only, and highly recommend using a pro for installation), all specially made with the homeowner or sports player in mind and manufactured at textile mills here in America. The softness is created with the addition of "thatch". The realistic look is achieved by blending the thatch with the longer strands, created with careful combinations of varied colors of yarns. Our top line of turf is unparalleled in quality and provides a lawn that is easily maintained, with year-round beauty and usability.
Construction Process: We begin with excavation, followed by a fill of permeable, specialty gravel for drainage, which is professionally compacted, then the turf is laid, and followed with a top dressing. Our artificial grass lawn turf must be seen and touched to be appreciated, there is nothing else like it anywhere. The time frame to completion can be as little as one day. With such extraordinary softness, you may feel as though you need to pinch yourself--as if your lawn is something you would find only in a dream. Turf has come a long way since it was invented in the 1960's!
Warranty: Our turf material is UV color protected and comes with an 8-year manufacturer's warranty. Construction and labor warranty is one year. Our lawn turf resists fading and mildew. All of our turf is pet-friendly and over 95% of our customers are dog owners.
Advantages: For a reasonable investment, there is significant savings in watering cost alone, as well as an enormous environmental benefit (see Blog Page for more on this). Best of all, there is no more mowing! Also no fertilizer, and no pesticides. An excellent choice for waterfront properties and other environmentally sensitive areas. We encourage our customers to blow off their lawns periodically, and for a 'fresh-mowed' look, use a push-broom afterward, which can be seen in our photos.
